DURATION: One & Half Years
Apparel production & Merchandising Management is 1 1/2 year
intensive PG Program introduced at School of fashion Technology
to meet the growing needs of Indian Apparel Industry. The program
is structured keeping in view the requirements of apparel industry.
The aim of the course is to train young professionals in production,
quality and merchandising management, hence is ultimately aimed
at a up gradation of the existence industry to international standards
through these professionals.
APMM is designed to train students who strive to excel in understanding
and integrating areas of production and merchandising. In a measured
combination of theory and practice, the APMM department aims at
developing a truly global trend oriented perspective for its students.
The course aims to enable students in gauging trends effectively
and introduce effectively and introduce efficient systems. Also,
to contribute to the overall objective of strategic thinking,
modern merchandising practices, changing trends of fashion industry,
increasing productivity, minimize controllable waste & meet
the quality standards. It is a perfect blend of merchandising
and marketing, retailing, export marketing, design application,
machine engineering, textile technology, science of pattern making
with design aesthetics, production planning and quality management.

DURATION: Two Years
The 2 year P. G. Program in Fashion Design : Clothing Technology
is intensive technical and design program provides a thorough
grasp of all important skills of apparel, textiles and product
development. It emphasizes on practical oriented training for
in depth understanding of the essentials of design as well as
manufacturing processes of the apparel & textile industry.
The program consists of various modular levels of design, pattern
making, grading, sample manufacture and production methods and
is primarily aimed at students who desire to develop design and
technical skills to a high professional level. The students are
given inputs on how fashion functions, the trends and cycles,
the history, the influences, the components of color and fabric
and more importantly the program links student to the cutting
edge of business practices enabling them to transit from the classroom
to the work place more easily.
