The 2 year P. G. Program in Computer
Aided Textile Design aims at developing
creative ability and technical skill for
designing fashion textile for the export
and domestic consumption of indian textile
traditional as well as modern. The Home
Furnishing are also gaining importance
and many many leading textile manufacturers
are in need of Textile Designers with
computer Knowledge.
The Computer Aided Textile designing will
be a need and program emphasizes on design
and development of textles and its ornamentations,
which is basic raw material for fashion
designers. The major portion( Upto 70%)
of designer garment is textiles.
The program develops ability of students
to cope with embroidery, weaving, knitting,
printing and other ornamentations techniques
with modern technical and computer skills
through class room teaching, professional
project and industrial training.
