Course Structure

Duration: Two Years
Fashion Design & Clothing Technology is a two years intensive technical design program. It provides a thorough grasp of all important skills of Apparel and Product Development. It emphasizes on practically oriented training in depth for understanding of the apparel industry.

The program consists of various modular levels of design, pattern making, grading, sample manufacture and production methods and is primarily aimed at students who desire to develop design and technical skills to a high professional level. The students are given inputs on how fashion functions, the trends and cycles, the history, the influences, the components of colour and fabric and more importantly the program links students to the cutting edge of business practices enabling them to transit from a classroom to the work place more easily.

The strong technological and design based practical skills couple with in depth understanding of the elements of fashion design and modern trends gives students excellent career prospects as – Sample Coordinator, in both export and domestic organization. Qualifying students may also work as freelance consultants or they can run their own fashion studios and boutiques.
