Textile Design (Computer Assisted) is two years P.G. Program in textile design and it aims at developing creative ability and technical skill for designing fashion textile for the export and domestic consumption of Indian Textiles, traditional as well as modern. The Home Furnishing are also gaining importance and many leading textile manufacturers are in need of Textile Designers with computer knowledge.
The Textile Design (Computer Assisted) will be a need and program emphasizes on design and development of textiles and its ornamentation, which is a basic raw material for fashion designers. The major portion of designer garment is up to 70% textiles. The program develops ability of students to cope with embroider, weaving, knitting, printing and other ornamentation techniques with modern technical and computer skills through classroom teaching, professional projects and industrial training. The program provides students with both the artistic skills to create textile design with full knowledge, performance of fabric in end product to suit the needs |
